About the Front Cover
Scouting traverses the generations. The picture on the front page is from a New York District Camporee in 1949. The Scout Master, Charles Paul Meyer, ran a tight troop. All of his Scouts earned their awards together, and he did everything by the book.
His son, Charles Paul Meyer, Jr. took this picture, and later became an Eagle Scout.
Two of Charles Paul Meyer, Jr.'s grandsons are members of Pack 79, and hope to follow in the steps of their grandfather and earn their Eagle Scout award.
